A former fire alarm station in Sacramento’s Albert Winn Park becomes a temporary site for artistic inquiry. Constructed in 1937, the building once functioned as a centralized communications hub, receiving and dispatching emergency signals across the city as part of a broader network of public infrastructure.​

 

Originally designed for utility rather than visibility, the structure operated through systems of transmission, coordination, and response that shaped how information moved throughout Sacramento. Coordinates: Dispatch approaches the site as a space for experimentation, visibility, and response.​

 

Artists are invited to respond to the architecture, histories, material conditions, and conceptual possibilities embedded within the space.
